A Child's First Book Club

What's it all about?

Here at Turnrow, we know that a love for literature often begins early in childhood, when grown-ups read to us from beautiful picture books that we remember forever. The goal of A Child's First Book Club is to help kids and parents build a magnificent library - one book at a time.

What's included with my subscription?

Each month we will ship to you (or reserve for local members) one children's picture book. The selections will be first editions signed by the author and/or illustrator. We select quality titles with emphasis on compelling story and unique illustration. Every book will be gift-wrapped and includes a pen-pal-style letter introducing the selection to parents and kids.

Who picks out the books?

Our dedicated staff works with authors and publishers to acquire signed books with enduring quality. In the past, two of our picks have been honored with Caldecott Medals, the American Library Association's annual award for the most distinguished picture books for children. Our books have also appeared consistently on the New York Times Bestsellers Lists and received praise from Kirkus Reviews, School Library Journal, Publishers Weekly, Booklist, Shelf Awareness, and Entertainment Weekly.
